From FIFA Ultimate Team to EA SPORTS FC 27
For years the coins of Ultimate Team carried the name of the game around them: FIFA 21 coins, FIFA 22 coins, FIFA 23 coins. EA’s football titles after FIFA 23 are called EA SPORTS FC, and the current one, FC 27, was released on 25 September 2026. The mode and its currency stayed; only the label changed.
Inside FC 27 the mode’s official name is Football Ultimate Team, and the rewards are paid out as FUT Coins. Players use all three names, and search engines still see a lot of people typing the old one. If that is how you found this page, nothing about the order is different: the coins you get here are the coins your FC 27 club spends.
What did change with the new games is the way coins are earned. EA’s notes for FC 27 promise several times more coins per match in Champions and Rivals than the roughly five to six hundred a match gave in FC 26, and a bigger share of tradeable rewards. That makes playing more rewarding, and it still takes many evenings to fill a squad.
What the rename does not change
A few things matter far more for your order than the name on the box.
Your club decides the platform

EA carries Ultimate Team progress across console generations within PlayStation and within Xbox, but not from PlayStation to Xbox. PC keeps a club of its own, so pick the family where you actually play.
Coins stay where they land

How the order works if you last bought for FIFA
Older guides often describe a different routine: a player listed on the Transfer Market at a silly price, or a stranger sending coins through trades. The checkout here delivers by Comfort Trade only. After you pay, you add the e-mail address of your EA account and a few backup codes to the order, and a seller brings the coins into your club within 2 hours.

One honest note that has not changed since FIFA: EA’s rules still say no to coins bought from outside sellers, and comfort trades are mentioned in them by name. Questions people ask about the old name
Are FIFA coins and FC coins the same thing?
Yes. They are the coins of Ultimate Team, the card-collecting mode of EA’s football games. The mode kept its currency when the games stopped carrying the FIFA name, so a player who says FIFA coins, FUT coins or FC coins means the same balance in the same club. Only the season number in front of the name changes.
Do I need FC Points or FIFA Points for this?
No. Points are EA’s own premium currency, bought from EA and used for things such as packs; they are a separate balance and the checkout here has nothing to do with them. This page is only about coins, the currency you earn in matches and spend on the Transfer Market.
Can I buy coins for an older FIFA game?
The offers on the checkout are for the current game, EA SPORTS FC 27. EA says both companion tools, the Web App and the phone app, now serve FC 27 only, and the market of an older title is not where you would want new coins anyway. Pick the platform of your FC 27 club and order for that.
I played FIFA on PS4 and now play on PS5. Which option do I choose?
Choose PlayStation. EA lets Ultimate Team progress carry over between PS4 and PS5, so both consoles use one club, and the order goes into that club whichever of the two you switch on. The same goes for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S under the Xbox option. PC is a club of its own.
